MEDIA & PUSPEN

Pada 9 Mac telah berlangsung Futsal persahabatan pilihan PUSPEN Tampoi dan Kelab Media Johor.Seramai 30 rakan media dari pelbagai agensi berita sekitar daerah Johor Bahru telah mengambil bahagian. Selesai perlawanan futsal mereka telah dihiburkan dengan persembahan band penghuni PUSPEN.Program ini telah saya aturkan untuk memberi peluang kepada pihak media untuk mendekati PUSPEN. Semasa saya menghadiri majlis bersama Ketua Pengarah AADK tahun lepas , beliau telah meminta semua Pengerusi JKPD untuk menjelaskan kepada masyarakat tentang perubahan nama Pusat Serenti kepada PUSPEN. Hampir semua rakan-rakan media bertanya kepada saya bila perubahan ini telah berlaku dan apa maksud PUSPEN.Jadi saya rasa sesuai lah diaturkan lebih banyak program bersama media agar mereka dapat membantu untuk mempromosi penjenamaan ini.Rakan-rakan dari FM Johor pun telah berjanji untuk membuat hebahan melalui saluran mereka.Semoga dengan terjalinnya hubungan yang erat bersama pihak media,kita dapat salurakan pelbagai maklumat dengan kerjasama dari mereka.Hubungan baik saya dengan Presiden Kelab Media Johor yang telah terjalin sekian lama pasti nya akan membolehkan kita mengorak lebih jauh dari segi publisiti.

    Mr. Kalki is an active volunteer. I know him since 1997. He has been active with PEMADAM, write to then use in Voice of Johor.Later he helped JB DRC and National Anti-Drugs Service Center, Johor Bahru. When I served in the Service Center National Anti-Drugs Agency Johor Bahru, we did many programs for recovering addicts and for their family members and prevention programs at district level and state level also. He has helped the State National Anti-Drugs Agency Johor State level to implement programs. Again, I remember both of us together with 1 or 2 officers from National Anti-Drugs Agency implemented programs that had great impact. eg Workshop on Knowledge of Drugs for Army Cadet Officers consisting of men and women officers for 3 days in the Royal Army College in Ulu Tiram, for a total of more than 100 Cadet Officers.Training for trainee teachers on Drugs from Temenggong Ibrahim JB College for more than 100 trainees at the Institute in Felda Bukit Tinggi, Segamat; workshop for youth leaders for more than 100 people in Naza Hotel in Bkt Meldrum, JB. After the workshop 3 of the participants have won 3 seats in the state have become YB.Congrats! 2 YB still serving till today. Another program for the golden age was done in a village in Sg Tiram, Ulu Tiram. Another Drug Prevention Seminar for women in Hotel Holiday Inn (Holiday Inn Plaza) in JB was held for a total of 300 females.One of speakers was Prof Dr Mahmood Nazar Mohamad. At that time he still served with UUM, Kedah.Kalki and me have implemented more grassroots-level programs in the black area in JB district involving Recovering addicts - programs such as Religious Programs in Forest Town, in North Lake, JB, Sports & Recreation Programs in UTM, Work Therapy Seminar in Hospital Permai, Relapse Prevention Program about 200 people in the Municipal Council of Johor Bahru Tengah in Skudai, Pasir Gudang Local Authority, dozens of Drug Free Workplace programs in Pasir Gudang Industrial Area, JB, Tebrau 2, Larkin etc.. . My sincere thanks to the Local Governments who provided facilities for free because drugs is enemy No.. 1 to all.Those Council departments were also members of Johor Bahru District Combating Drug Council.
